Food for Thought
The extent to which farmers’ (and beekeepers’) livelihoods are ultimately dependent on something completely out of their control—the weather—started me thinking long and hard about food over the past month. Well, more specifically, I’ve been thinking about food waste, the inequalities and power imbalances that characterize the global food system, and the catastrophic food crises currently unfolding in the Horn of Africa.
