Social Change through Sandwiches and Spuds
Sandwiches and Spuds are generally considered comfort food, but two caring individuals separately arrived at the same conclusion: When comfort food becomes a way of reaching out and making a small (or large) difference in the lives of individuals who live in neighbourhoods characterized by significant levels of poverty and its associated social challenges and who are often dismissed or ignored, these simple foods nourish the body and the soul and might even inspire more random acts of kindness and acknowledgement that are “paid forward.â€
